![]() ![]() She has a degree in English, a teaching credential, has been Nationally Board Certified, and has taught public school for over 14 years. So Lorri became an educator and an author for humans, who, admittedly, sometimes monkey around. ![]() Not once did those vervets gather round for story-time. Plus, while it was fascinating to study and observe our little non-human primate brothers and sisters lip-smacking to communicate things like "Oh, gee, I'm sorry, is that your branch?", Lorri found it much more rewarding to share a good book with a kid. ![]() But it turns out you have to rough it and camp to do that kind of job, and Lorri's more of a pillow-top mattress and no bug-repellant kind of gal. ![]() Lorri spent a few years studying cercopithecus aethiops (vervet monkeys) and thought she'd be a famous biological anthropologist. It's true she did eat all of the pickles and popsicles on her first babysitting gig, but she did manage to feed that kid a cheese and pickle sandwich before polishing off the rest of the jar off herself. She got her first babysitting job when she was nine years old, became a camp counselor, and went on to be a teacher. Lorri Horn, born and raised in California, has been working with kids all her life. Priceless miranda silver read online7/8/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() So happy to found this gem and excited to read more books by this author. I couldn’t have loved it more! This is a book that you won’t be able to let go of! I know every time I see a 20 dollar bill I will have flashbacks. One of the things I love the most is this book was Super Sexy but it wasn’t smut or erotica, it was sensual and passionate. Their story is my favorite kind, emotional, raw, healing. Patrick wasn’t planing on Christina being what he needed as well. Christina lives on little lies and keeps so much hidden away inside, Patrick gave her a reason to let it out. ![]() Christina and Patrick were intense and exhilarating! It was shocking, dirty, sexy, emotional, and it was all soooooo good! I fell in love with these characters. I felt so immersed in this book, I couldn’t put it down. When she meets Patrick and his solution to her problems, everything changes. Christina is a hot mess barely keeping it all together. Priceless is hands down the Sexiest book I have EVER read! It lures you in and swallows you whole! Never in my life have I been this turned on by reading a book! You will definitely need a few extra changes of panties and a cold shower while reading this because Silver isn’t playing around! This author knows how to get the juices flowing!… Wink… PATRICK. Holy Crap! like, where do I even begin to explain how freaking fantastic this book was! Priceless was Hot, scratch that this book was Blazing! Liquid, that what this book turned me into! This year, to kick off the month-long celebration of Women in Horror, I have the wonderful privilege of chatting with Jeani Rector. I’ve had the incredible pleasure of interviewing dozens of fantastic leaders and pioneers in the WiH movement and I also was WiHM founder Hannah Forman’s assistant a few years back as she did what she always does in February- make horror awesome! Armentrout harbinger series7/8/2023 ![]() There are lots of scenes where Trinity gushes over how perfect Zayne is it was just eye-rollingly nauseating. ![]() I loved the first book in this series and enjoyed the second book, but this one was just a lot of…well….nothing. I honestly don’t know if I have changed or if her writing style has changed but I found this conclusion to The Harbinger series pretty lackluster. Thoughts: This was disappointing and is the 2nd Armentrout book I’ve been really disappointed in this year (the last one I read and disliked was “The Crown of Gilded Bones”). Series Info/Source: This is the second book in the Harbinger series. Irresistible book adam alter7/7/2023 ![]() Forced to stare at their reflections as they tossed the coin, the students were perfectly fair, assigning their phantom partner to the positive task exactly 50 percent of the time. The researchers tried the task again, this time placing the students in front of a large mirror. Since they weren’t supervised, you can imagine how the students interpreted a negative outcome: if they lost the first toss, perhaps they decided that the outcome should rest on a best-of-three scenario. Though all of the students tossed the coin, the researchers found that 85 percent of the students assigned themselves to the positive task, suggesting that the coin was merely a prop that allowed them to defend the fairness of the desired outcome. ![]() ![]() The laws of probability state that if the students were using the coins fairly, roughly half of them should have been assigned to the positive task, and the other half should have been assigned to the negative task. “Obviously the students preferred to assign themselves to the appealing task and their partners to the unappealing task, but they also recognized that it would be fairer to toss a coin to decide who would undertake each task. ![]()
